- The James River Correctional Center was opened in 1998 on the grounds of the State Hospital in Jamestown, and is designed to hold medium-security men.
- The Missouri River Correctional Center is located four miles southwest of Bismarck, was first established in the 1940's as the State Farm, and houses minimum low and community custody men.
